Once the wetlands were built and verified, the wetlands were seeded, hooked up, and mulched.
In the spring, the contractor will finish the grading.
The uplands will then be tilled, packed and seeded.

Prior to settlement, the acres of Ruby's Farm consisted of tall grass prairie and wetlands.
With the help of the Wetland Conservation Act, we will reestablish 60+ acres of the farm to resemble the upland prairie and wetlands of history. This endeavor will take many years and a large outlay of money. This project was approved in November 2008 and was built in Oct/Nov 2009. The project was completed in the spring of 2010. In August 2010, the BWSR awarded Ruby's Wetland Bank, LLC with the first 15% or 10.4 credits. These credits are now available for sale.
The project is being supervised by the US Core of Engineers, Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR) and Local Governing Unit.
